Beauty With Plus - Cara Scott plus model

Ciao Bella,

I spotted her charismatic face on the August cover of Venus Diva Magazine and after reading her interview I was sure: there is a certain PLUS in this gorgeous model which I am determined to find out. So I contacted her and agreed on an interview which was full of laughters, surprises and inspirational moments. My pleasure to introduce to you the newest supporter and member of Beauty With Plus community – Cara Scott model whose destiny is to be different!

Beauty With Plus - Napsugár (Sunshine)

I met Napsugár (her name means Sunshine) couple of weeks ago on  the casting of Miss Curvy&Hot Hungary for an upcoming plus size fashion show. The casting went well, every applicants arrived with a big smile and they were really friendly. Then the door opened and literally the Sunshine arrived: the girl with the biggest smile, love of life and energy. They say after experiencing the hell you can appreciate the good times more – and I can’t agree more when I think about this young lady who told the story of her life to me.  Before our meeting I somehow felt she would inspire many with her story and actually I was right: I was listening to her with a smile and sometimes with tears in my eyes.

 

I'm not pregnant - I am fat!

Sok telt lánynak ismerős lehet a kérdés illetve élethelyzet, mikor (főként ugye az alma alakúakat, nagy pocakkal) terhesnek nézik. A minap ezzel a "problémával" kapcsolatban kaptam levelet egyikőtöktől és gondoltam, a blogon is virtuális papírra vetem gondolataimat a témával kapcsolatban.

Many of the curvy ladies may have already experienced the situation (mainly the apple shaped ones with bigger tummy) when someone offers a seat as they think you are pregnant. The other day one of my readers sent me an email with this issue and I decided to put down my thoughts about this topic.

I met Reni on the Beauty Day event of Plus Size Advice, organized by its founder, Dóri who introduced me this constantly smiling, cheerful girl. Dóri was sure we need to sit down for a chat with Reni as she holds so many values worth of knowing. From the minute we met her positive energy radiated all around her and there was no need for words to prove: she feels just fine in her own skin!

We have been „chasing” each other for a while with Rita as since I started blogging, she has been an active member of the community. Funnily, I remember her Facebook profile as I always check new members – to get at least a picture of the ladies (or men) who recently joined – and having a good visual memory, I remember those Beauties’ profiles who actively comment and put "like" on my page. We emailed with each other earlier as she invited me to Árkád shopping mall fashion shows where finally plus size models rocked the runway too.

Múlt hét szombaton (máj. 11.) nem kellett megvárnom az ébresztőóra csörgését, hiszen izgatottan pattantam ki az ágyamból, eljött a  nap. Pár hete meghirdettem egy személyes találkozó lehetőségét, amikor végre szemtől szemben leülhetünk és beszélgethetünk egy jót - Ti és én! Nagyon boldog voltam, hogy sorra jöttek a jelentkezések ám arra figyeltem, ne legyünk túl sokan, hiszen akkor félő lett volna, hogy a találka elveszíti személyes jellegét.

Last Saturday (11 May) I did not have problems with waking up as I was so excited for the big day. Couple of weeks ago I started to organize a personal meeting when I can meet in person with the members of my community and have a good time. I was really happy to receive applications but I had to control the number of participants to keep the meeting personal and cosy.

My interview with Samantha Lebbie kicked off a bit hectic, partly due to the different time zones and her fully booked life - later I understood it takes a lot to keep up with the busy schedule of this Washington beauty. Then finally we chatted at an ad hoc appointment, she just arrived home after a photoshooting and as soon as we switched on the camera, I was blown away by her beauty which feeling only got stronger later on as our conversation started -  she truly has a lovely personality behind the beautiful face...

The Carnival of Rio de Janeiro, Gisele Bündchen, football  - just to name a few words which come to my mind when thinking of Brazil. The stereotype of Brazilian woman has curves, know how to dance salsa and has a flat tummy. But that’s enough of stereotypes – I did not have idea about the everyday women of this Southern American country until I got the chance to make an interview with one of the most beautiful of them in the plus size industry, Miss Plus Size Sao Paolo, Amáli Fernandes.

Many times during our lives we reach the bottom when we fall down, merged in self-pity and everything seems so hopeless that we wish just to disappear and get buried in pain. This is exactly what happened to Dóri after a tough breakup but then something marvellous occured which shall give motivation for all of us that life throws you presents in the darkest moments too – you just need to recognize them.

Since I started Beauty with Plus movement - I got the chance to meet and/or chat with some of You who are reading these lines. Some of my interview partners had difficulties to open up - despite the fact that they really wanted to share their stories just did not know how. Of course I am a stranger (hey, let me change it - can I be your friend and sister?) and we barely speak about our inmost thoughts to random people! Mióta útjára indítottam a Pluszos Szépségek interjúsorozattal párosult mozgalmam, sok olvasóval sikerült személyesen is találkoznom és beszélgetnem. Némelyikőtöknek nehézséget okozott, hogy megnyíljon a beszélgetés során, és elmesélje legféltettebb titkait és legbelső gondolatait - ami lássuk be, teljesen normális, hiszen egy idegennel ültek szemben (ezen változtathatnánk? szeretnék a barátnőd vagy a nővéred lenni, lehet?). Mivel nem vagyunk egyformák, vannak köztetek zárkózottabb típusú lányok is, de ha szeretnél kicsit oldottabb lenni, akár idegenekkel szemben is, akkor olvass tovább...
