Loving Your Curves - interviews&video from the casting!

Ciao Bella,

As the first day of autumn arrived it means we have to wait only a few weeks till the upcoming plus size event, Loving Your Curves taking place in London on 21-22 September. As an official European blogger I keep a close eye on the event and despite the distance, with some help I could make some mini interviews with participants at the model casting.

Megérkezett az ősz első napja ám ez azt jelenti, már csak pár hetet kell várni a Londonban megrendezésre kerülő Loving Your Curves plus size rendezvényre. Mint európai hivatalos blogger, érdeklődve figyelem az esemény küörüli előkészületeket s noha személyesen nem vettem részt a modell válogatáson, mégis sikerült némi segítséggel mini interjúkat készíteni a résztvevőkkel.

Beauty With Plus - Napsugár (Sunshine)

I met Napsugár (her name means Sunshine) couple of weeks ago on  the casting of Miss Curvy&Hot Hungary for an upcoming plus size fashion show. The casting went well, every applicants arrived with a big smile and they were really friendly. Then the door opened and literally the Sunshine arrived: the girl with the biggest smile, love of life and energy. They say after experiencing the hell you can appreciate the good times more – and I can’t agree more when I think about this young lady who told the story of her life to me.  Before our meeting I somehow felt she would inspire many with her story and actually I was right: I was listening to her with a smile and sometimes with tears in my eyes.

 

Beauty With Plus movement - Rita Barcsai, Plus Size Model

We have been „chasing” each other for a while with Rita as since I started blogging, she has been an active member of the community. Funnily, I remember her Facebook profile as I always check new members – to get at least a picture of the ladies (or men) who recently joined – and having a good visual memory, I remember those Beauties’ profiles who actively comment and put "like" on my page. We emailed with each other earlier as she invited me to Árkád shopping mall fashion shows where finally plus size models rocked the runway too.

Many times during our lives we reach the bottom when we fall down, merged in self-pity and everything seems so hopeless that we wish just to disappear and get buried in pain. We all speak about them – I admit to follow their pages on social media and this is where I came across some behind the scene pictures for their new collection with a girl whose smile was so vibrant yet natural that I had to look up who is she. Her name is Briana Harrington and believe it or not – by the age of 19 she already made her mark in the industry. I was really happy to catch her on a sunny Sunday afternoon – well, for me it was night but who cares about the time zones – and had a lovely chat about her rising career...

When I started Beauties With Plus movement my goal was to encourage, to inspire all those who read my interviews and stories about women whose "plus" I reveal in these blog posts. After these interviews I always send the final writing for approval and in the replies you thank me for making you look so beautiful by my words. It is not magic - I just see the beauty which exists in You and want to help that all readers discover that certain plus. Because the picture which you see and what others see may differ...

Mikor elkezdtem a Pluszos Szépségek mozgalmam, egy cél lebegett a szemem előtt: erőt adni, inspirálni minél több nőt, akik elolvassák eme bejegyzéseket, mikben feltárom interjúalanyaim "plusz" -ait. A publikálás előtt minden esetben elküldöm átolvasásra a cikkeket, és számtalan köszönetnyilvánító válaszlevelet kapok, amiért olyan szépnek látlak Titeket. Nincs ebben semmi ördöngösség - egyszerűen csak meglátom azt a szépséget, ami mindenkiben ott van és szeretném, ha a történetek segítenének minél több nőnek felfedezni a bennük rejlő értékeket. Mert a kép, amit Te látsz magadról s ahogy mások látnak Téged sokszor eltér egymástól...

When heading to London to be part of the first British Plus Size Fashion Weekend I had names on my head with whom I definitely wanted to meet. Jada Sezer was one particular beauty whose body I have seen frequently since she is the curvy goddess on the logo of the event.

Those of you who follow me on different social media platforms already heard of the word usage "Beauties with Plus" but I thought to put down in some words what that phrase refers to.
Last year after starting this blog I met many amazing women with whom I had uplifting conversations about life, dreams, body acceptance, how to live with extra pounds and decided to share their stories in narrative forms here on the blog. Since I feel it fair to have them a last look before publishing on the world wide web, I always sent them the final piece for a last check. Their reactions assured me that I have that certain sense to see the beauty in people as most of them were complete strangers but somehow I touched them very deep inside their souls - at least this is what they wrote back in tears of happiness, after reading their own stories. For me every woman has a certain PLUS within - and my mission is to open the eyes to see beyond the extra pounds of a curvy woman and see her empathy, see her good will, her humour and so on. This is how Beauties With Plus was born - and the family is growing. I do not want to stop, I want to hold the mirror to as many women as possible to see themselves through my eyes. So You, my Beauty who is reading these lines - reach out for me and join this "army", lets show the world that our inner values are much bigger than the clothes we wear! No matter where you live - technology provides so many possibilities so we can have a chat! I'm waiting for You - because You also have a plus, dare to show it?

Akik több közösségi médiaforráson át követnek, többször olvashatták már a Pluszos Szépségek kifejezést, ám úgy éreztem, leírom az újaknak, mit is takar ez a "mozgalom".
Tavaly a blog indulása után sok különleges nővel megismerkedhettem, akikkel számos felemelő beszélgetést folytattunk az életükről, álmokról, extra kilókról és úgy döntöttem, megírom történetüket elbeszélő formában. Persze mielőtt publikálásra kerültek volna, minden alkalommal átküldtem emailben - amolyan végső ellenőrzésre, és az erre érkezett reakciók meggyőztek abban a hitemben, hogy valamiféle különleges érzékkel belelátok (akár vadidegen emberekbe, hisz ők azok voltak) a beszélgető partnereim lelkébe és rendszerint a meghatódottság könnyei közt írták válaszlevelüket. Jó érzés volt ezt megtapasztalni, mert meggyőződésem, hogy minden nőben ott van az a bizonyos PLUSZ - így küldetésemnek érzem, hogy felnyissam a szemeket és végre a külső extra kilókon túlmutatva a belső értékeké és szépségé legyen a főszerep. Így született meg a Pluszos Szépségek mozgalom - ami terveim szerint itt nem áll meg, sőt! Te, Szépségem, ki e sorokat olvasod - vedd fel velem a kapcsolatot és mutassuk meg a világnak, hogy belső értékeid jóval nagyobbak a ruhaméretednél! A földrajzi akadályokat a modern technika vívmányaival könnyen leküzdjük - várok Rád, mert benned is ott van az a plusz - megmutatod?
