Nagyon szeretem nem csak fotók feltöltésére, hanem keresgélésre is használni az Instagramot, hiszen naponta új arcokat fedezek fel a plus size divatélet palettáján. Így találtam rá Jezzy-re is, aki feltörekvő plus size modell és az outfit posztjai mellett nagyon megtetszettek a motivációs üzenetei, amiket megoszt Instagram oldalán. Már a képek alapján világossá vált, milyen fontos számára az önbizalom és az egészség, így ideje volt, hogy közelebbről is megismerjem és Ti is.

Instagram is such a great application as checking pictures does not require much time so I spend some time on a daily basis to discover new faces of the plus size industry. This is how I found Jezzy who is an aspiring model and beside her outfit posts I fell in love with the positive text messages she inspires her followers every day – including myself! She promotes healthy curves and confidence so it was time for me to get to know this beautiful lady.

I spotted her charismatic face on the August cover of Venus Diva Magazine and after reading her interview I was sure: there is a certain PLUS in this gorgeous model which I am determined to find out. So I contacted her and agreed on an interview which was full of laughters, surprises and inspirational moments. Loving Your Curves - interviews&video from the casting!

As the first day of autumn arrived it means we have to wait only a few weeks till the upcoming plus size event, Loving Your Curves taking place in London on 21-22 September. As an official European blogger I keep a close eye on the event and despite the distance, with some help I could make some mini interviews with participants at the model casting.

Megérkezett az ősz első napja ám ez azt jelenti, már csak pár hetet kell várni a Londonban megrendezésre kerülő Loving Your Curves plus size rendezvényre. Mint európai hivatalos blogger, érdeklődve figyelem az esemény küörüli előkészületeket s noha személyesen nem vettem részt a modell válogatáson, mégis sikerült némi segítséggel mini interjúkat készíteni a résztvevőkkel.

Beauty With Plus - Napsugár (Sunshine)

I met Napsugár (her name means Sunshine) couple of weeks ago on  the casting of Miss Curvy&Hot Hungary for an upcoming plus size fashion show. The casting went well, every applicants arrived with a big smile and they were really friendly. Then the door opened and literally the Sunshine arrived: the girl with the biggest smile, love of life and energy. They say after experiencing the hell you can appreciate the good times more – and I can’t agree more when I think about this young lady who told the story of her life to me.  Before our meeting I somehow felt she would inspire many with her story and actually I was right: I was listening to her with a smile and sometimes with tears in my eyes.

 

Pluszos Szépségek - Napsugár

Napsugárral pár hete találkoztam először, a Miss Dundi és Dögös plus size divatbemutató castingján ültem és sorra jöttek a jelentkezők. A válogatás jó hangulatban telt, mindenki mosolygós és közvetlen volt. Aztán nyílt az ajtó és szó szerint megérkezett a Napsugár: a lány, aki tele van életszeretettel, vidámsággal és energiával. Azt mondják, ha megjártad a poklot, sokkal jobban értékeled a napfényt – rá ez különösen igaz, hiszen a válogató után megbeszéltünk egy találkozót, s elmesélte történetét. Mielőtt tudtam volna, min ment keresztül – éreztem, erőt ad majd másoknak. S nem tévedtem – rám nagy hatással volt s bevallom, a sok mosoly közepette kicsordult néha a könny a szememből.

Nagy örömömre előkerültek a Jada Sezer budapesti látogatása alatt készült képek színes verziói is, mely fotók Miklóska Zoltán keze munkáját dícsérik és tele vannak jókedvvel. Noha Jada profi plus size modell - én ettől a fogalomtól elég távol állok, így ez nem egy megkomponált fotósorozat, hanem sokkal inkább két barátnő sétája Budapesten.

 

 

 

Finally - to my biggest happiness - the colourful pictures we took during Jada Sezer's Budapest visit are ready to share, thanks to the talented photographer, Zoltán Miklóska. Jada is a professional ps model, you can tell - which I am far away so when we took these shots the point was to capture the good times as two friends take a walk in Budapest.

Ahogy azt a korábbi bejegyzésemben ígértem, a budapesti kora-esti életképeket egy külön posztban osztom meg veletek. Jada velem töltött 5 napja alatt nem sokat pihentünk, hiszen szó szerint éjjel-nappal úton voltunk s mivel hallott az Európában egyedülálló budapesti romkocsmákról, nem hagyhatta ki őket.


As I promised earlier, I selected some early-nightlife pictures from Jada's Budapest visit to share in a seperate post. During those nearly 5 days which Jada spent with me in Budapest we hardly stopped - literally nonstop on the go. As she hear about the famous (and unique in Europe) ruin pubs of my capital, we had to visit a few.

Mivel a fekete-fehér verziókat már megkaptam a roppant tehetséges (és tündéri ember!) fotósunktól, Miklóska Zolitól - így miért is várnék a színesekre, inkább megosztok párat ezek közül Veletek Jada budapesti látogatásáról. Én egyébként is nagy fekete-fehér képrajongó vagyok - valahogy van egy sajátos hangulatuk és Zolinak sikerült nagyon jól elkapnia a pillanatokat.



As I already received the black&white shots of Jada's Budapest visit from the very talented (and such a sweetheart!) photographer, Zoltán Miklóska - I decided not to wait any further and show them to you. Anyway I fall for b&w pictures, they have a certain atmosphere and Zoli could really capture great moments with his camera.

I met Reni on the Beauty Day event of Plus Size Advice, organized by its founder, Dóri who introduced me this constantly smiling, cheerful girl. Dóri was sure we need to sit down for a chat with Reni as she holds so many values worth of knowing. From the minute we met her positive energy radiated all around her and there was no need for words to prove: she feels just fine in her own skin!

Mint tudjátok, pár napig nálam vendégeskedett a gyönyörű plus size modell, Jada Sezer, akivel sokat mókáztunk és jól érezte magát kishazánkban. Loving Your Curves interview with Kemi Farquharson (Kemi Boutique) - Beauty With Plus member

As announced earlier (check HERE if you missed it) I became the official European blogger of Loving Your Curves Wedding Fair and Fuller Figured Expo taking place in London, 21-22 September, 2013. I was thrilled to accept such an honourable duty to do in order to spread the words of positive body image and acceptance.

My mission regarding the event is to give more details about the background and participants - and who can be better as a kickoff person to be interviewed if not the lovely Kemi Farquharson who is the founder of the expo itself.

I have known her „virtually” before I started Cupcake&Pearls and during British Plus Size Fashion Weekend we could finally meet in person. She is stylish, chic and giving reliable fashion advices for those in need whether it is a „what-to-wear” at a wedding or at a date. She is that „virtual girlfriend” who will always be honest with you and tell her fashion verdict straight away – and she is honest not only about fashion...

Ritával már egy jó ideje „kerülgettük” egymást, ugyanis szinte a blog indulása óta tagja a Cupcake&Pearls Fb közösségnek és nevét is gyakran látom. Ez vicces, hiszen nagyrészt egyoldalú a kommunikáció köztem és köztetek – de mindig megnézem az új tagok profilját és mivel kiváló a vizuális memóriám (a nevekkel már nagyobb gondban vagyok) így megjegyzem a többször „lájkoló” Szépségek arcát. Már korábban leveleztünk is, ugyanis ő is részt vett az Árkádban rendezett divatbemutatón, ahol végre teltebb modellek is végigvonultak a kifutón.

Beauty With Plus movement - Samantha Lebbie, Plus size model (Washington, USA)

My interview with Samantha Lebbie kicked off a bit hectic, partly due to the different time zones and her fully booked life - later I understood it takes a lot to keep up with the busy schedule of this Washington beauty. Then finally we chatted at an ad hoc appointment, she just arrived home after a photoshooting and as soon as we switched on the camera, I was blown away by her beauty which feeling only got stronger later on as our conversation started -  she truly has a lovely personality behind the beautiful face...

I feel truly blessed for all the positive feedback I receive regarding my beloved movement to empower women: Beauty With Plus. So far all iconic ladies of the plus size industry welcomed my approach to share their stories - and I am also thankful for the everyday women who reach out for me to tell their journeys of self-acceptance.
One of my latest interviews was with Samantha Lebbie who may have been thousand miles away but during our talk I felt her really close to my heart from the very first moment!

Szerencsésnek érzem magam és hálás vagyok azért a rengeteg pozitív visszajelzésért, amit a Pluszos Szépségek mozgalmam kapcsán kapok. Ezidáig minden elismert és közismert plus size modell, aktivista, divattervező tárt karokkal fogadta a megkeresésem és szívesen mesélték el történeteiket. Ugyanolyan hálás vagyok a hétköznapi nőknek is, akik megkeresnek és megosztják velem az utat, amit már bejártak, hogy elfogadják önmagukat.
Az egyik legutóbbi interjúalanyom a bájos plus size modell, Samantha Lebbie volt, aki noha több ezer kilométerre volt tőlem, mégis olyan közel éreztem magamhoz a beszélgetés első percétől fogva!

The Carnival of Rio de Janeiro, Gisele Bündchen, football  - just to name a few words which come to my mind when thinking of Brazil. The stereotype of Brazilian woman has curves, know how to dance salsa and has a flat tummy. But that’s enough of stereotypes – I did not have idea about the everyday women of this Southern American country until I got the chance to make an interview with one of the most beautiful of them in the plus size industry, Miss Plus Size Sao Paolo, Amáli Fernandes.

Many times during our lives we reach the bottom when we fall down, merged in self-pity and everything seems so hopeless that we wish just to disappear and get buried in pain. This is exactly what happened to Dóri after a tough breakup but then something marvellous occured which shall give motivation for all of us that life throws you presents in the darkest moments too – you just need to recognize them.
